New Delhi : Even as fresh disclosures in the long-standing investigations to the professional examination board scandal from Madhya Pradesh keep creating political ripples, Congress leader Satyadev Katare has charged that senior RSS leader Suresh Soni, who hails from Rajgarh in the state, is also involved in the fresh scam related to the state public service commission.
“It is now coming out from details of oral evidence being given by those who have been arrested in this scam, that he too had recommended several candidates for appointment to various posts, and admissions to various colleges,” said Katare.
“We want that either a special investigation team working under the supervision of the Supreme Court should investigate the entire matter, or the matter be entrusted to the CBI, which is now with the BJP,” Katare who leads the Congress opposition in the state assembly said here.
He charged that the special task force working under the supervision of the High Court had only managed to catch hold of the minor culprits. “The main mastermind who has supervised the entire operation, and protected all the wrong doers so far has remained untouched by these investigations. The right course of action would be for the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to step down and make way for some other BJP legislator to head the government,” added Katare.
He also charged that the chief minister’s direct involvement in the PSC scam is evident from the reluctance of the authorities to part with the details of the appointment of his niece (Ritu Chouhan) as a deputy collector.
