Karnataka SSLC exam 2021: Class 10 board exams from July 19, admit cards to release tomorrow

The Karnataka government has decided to go ahead with their Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or Class 10 board exams.

The SSLC or Class 10 board exam will be held from July 19 to July 22, 2021, at various centres across the state. The exams will be conducted on two days. On the first day (July 19), subjects including mathematics, science, social science will be covered while on day two (July 22) the languages exam will take place. The exams will have multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

The Karnataka SSLC exam will be held in a single shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Earlier on June 5, Karnataka Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar had announced that state board's Class 10 (Secondary School Leaving Certificate/SSLC) examinations will be held in third week of July.

The central government had decided to cancel the CBSE Class 12 board exams amid the continuing COVID-19 pandemic across the country with Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserting that the decision has been taken in the interest of students and the anxiety among students, parents and teachers must be put to an end.

The Class 10 board exams were already cancelled by many states. Several states also cancelled Class 12 board exams following the centre's decision.

However, Karnataka cancelled the Class 12 board exams, it decided to hold the Class 10/SSLC exam.
