New Delhi : Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung on Wednesday rejected the parole plea of former Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala, an official statement here said.
Chautala had on October 5 requested parole for medical treatment which Jung rejected, saying: “There should be a gap of minimum six months from the date of termination of last parole. He had last availed one month parole from April 4 to May 5 which was further extended up to May 28, reports IANS.
He had surrendered on June 3.” Chautala is currently behind bars at Tihar Jail here after being convicted in a case relating to the recruitment of teachers in Haryana.
