Indore: A common consensus has to be evolved on the issue of terrorism in the wake of the “global scenario” that has emerged following the Paris carnage, JD(U) today said as it urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to initiate a debate towards that end in Parliament.
The world has plunged into “discomfort” following the strike in the French capital that left 129 people dead, party chief Sharad Yadav said today while requesting Modi to “call a debate on the global scenario that has emerged following the Paris attacks for reaching a common consensus”.
“The attack in Paris was connected with the West and East Asia. Therefore, a consensus should emerge in Parliament, which is in the interest of the world and India,” Yadav told reporters here.
“There is global discomfort following attacks in Paris. There should be a debate on this issue to decide the posture to be adhered to on the issue of terrorism,” he added.
