India's active COVID-19 caseload dropped further on Wednesday, with the daily recoveries continuing to outnumber the case tally. According to the Health Ministry, the country reported 54,069 fresh cases and 1,321 deaths in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 68,885 recoveries were reported.
India has so far recorded 3,00,82,778 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began. With today's update, the death toll has now risen to 3,91,981. There remains 6,27,057 active cases as of Wednesday morning.
