Thiruvananthapuram : The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) government’s bid to drag the two-decades-old SNC Lavalin corruption case involving Communist Party of India (Marxist) chief ministerial contender Pinarayi Vijayan to the Kerala poll arena has suffered a setback with the high court rejecting its plea for an early hearing on the revision petitions pending before it.
Justice P Ubaid postponed the hearing on the revision petitions filed by CBI, Crime Magazine editor T P Nandakumar and K M Shajahan, former private secretary to opposition leader V S Achuthanandan against the acquittal of Vijayan and other accused by two months with a warning not to use the judiciary for political gains.
