Madurai: The website of the famous Meenakshi Temple here, which was hacked, has been set right now, a temple official said today.

It can be accessed within a few hours, said the official who did not want to be named. “The homepage of the hacked website was released this afternoon and the contents were found good,” he said.

Officials of the shrine had found the website hacked last night following which a complaint was filed with the police.

Cyber crime branch police is investigating into the matter. The shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Parvati and has an estimated 33,000 sculptures.
