Bangalore : After 10 hours of grilling in the same chamber where terrorist Yasin Bhatkal was interrogated, Karthik Gowda, son of Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, admitted that he knew Kannada starlet Mythreya Gowda and that they were `friends’ who partied occasionally.
He, however, denied either marrying or raping her.
Karthik, who appeared before the RT Nagar police station where the actor had filed the complaint, reported for questioning at 6.30 am on Friday in order to avoid the media.
The police there accorded VIP treatment and left him after an hour of questioning.
When Police Commissioner M N Reddi came to know of this, he pulled up the Deputy Commissioner of Police T.R. Suresh who is investigating the case. Minutes later, Karthik was again asked to come to the station and he was whisked away to the high security interrogation cell in Madiwala and questioned till 10 pm.
He was questioned on Saturday too on all the allegations raised by the actor including the trip to Mangalore where he allegedly married the starlet.
Sources said Karthik denied all charges, but admitted that he knew the complainant but did not marry or cheat her.
