SC orders Govt to give coal scam files to CBI

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed the Centre to provide “full co-operation” to the CBI in its probe in coal block allocations scam by providing it with all necessary information and files without any delay. “We have made it clear that all necessary information and files required by CBI have to be provided by all con-cerned,” a bench headed by Justice RM Lodha said.

IPS officer likely to be taken in custody

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat IPS officer PP Pandey is likely to be taken into custody for his role in the alleged Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case. The IPS officer has ex-hausted all his options and the court has rejected even his second anticipatory bail plea. CBI sources told a TV channel that Pande would be picked up from hospital and put in judicial custody.
