Mumbai : Nafis Ahmed was gripped up worry and panicked when he heard that Kamayani and Janta Express had derailed near Madhya Pradesh. He rushed to the railway station to inquire about his loved ones who were travelling in Kamayani express a million possibility about their safety occurred to him.

With the news channels flashing several help lines number, Ahmed tried all of them but with no clue about his uncle and mother-in-law who were in Kamayani Express, he rushed to LTT. Standing near the inquiry counter at LTT, Nafis Shaikh said, “My uncle and mother-in-law live in Allahabad and had come to Mumbai to visit me. My uncle had come to the first time to the city from our home town. But now they are missing and despite calling the helpline number at Harad had not been of any help.”

A restless Nafis kept walking across the platforms and calling the helpline numbers until a man of the other side confirmed that his relatives have been traced and send to the civil hospital for treatment. Nafis said, “They informed me that they were sent to the civil hospital but when I called up at the hospital I was told that they are not there.”

Nafis finally took a sigh of relief after he was informed that his relative were fine and have departed for Allahabad.

Similar was the story of Khursheed Alam who was struggling to get information about his son Salman Alam, brother Saleem Mohammad and his family who were travelling in Janata Express and were to reach Mumbai at 10:40 am. Unaware of the derailment, Kursheed Alam reached Kalyan station to pick his family only to realise that the train had suffered a major accident.

Khursheed tried calling all the helpline number, but neither had any information about his relatives who were travelling in S-11 coach of the train.
