Delhi excise policy case: No relief for Manish Sisodia; custody extended till April 17

Rouse Avenue Court extended judicial custody of Delhi's former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia till April 17, 2023, in CBI's case related to alleged irregularities in the now-scrapped excise policy on Monday.

Court dismissed bail plea last week

A Delhi court on Friday last week dismissed the bail plea of the AAP leader, in the CBI case pertaining to alleged irregularities in the framing and implementation of the excise policy of GNCTD.

On March 9, the ED arrested former Delhi deputy chief minister Sisodia at the Tihar jail, where he was lodged in connection with a separate case being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

The CBI arrested the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader on February 26 in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy for 2021-22.
