Delhi: CCTV footage shows woman being stabbed by neighbour; attacker arrested

A 28-year-old woman got injured on Thursday after her neighbour allegedly stabbed her multiple times outside her house in northwest Delhi's Rohini Sector-11 area.

The horrifying incident was captured by a CCTV camera installed nearby. The woman has been admitted to the Safdarjung hospital and is yet to regain consciousness.

According to reports, the incident took place around 8.30 pm. Police said the suspect, identified as Naresh alias Raju, has been apprehended.

The CCTV footage shows the accused, Naresh, attacking the woman with a knife. Based on this, the police have taken him into custody. The two reportedly fought frequently and the woman had complained to the police about him earlier as well. The police are currently waiting for the woman to regain consciousness to find the reason behind the attack.

A case is being filed at Shahbad Dairy police station. The motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, police said.

The woman's family said she filed a complaint against her neighbour some time back, which is being verified by the police.
