COVID-19: Centre advises states, UTs to emphasize on district level containment measures
New Delhi: Centre has advised the states and Union Territories to emphasize on the district level measures for containment of COVID-19 clusters as 27 districts across 10 states/ UTs have been reporting high positivity rates in the past two weeks.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan in his letter to the chief secretaries and administrators of the states and Union Territories also emphasized the strategic containment interventions in identified areas, in case of COVID clusters, including night curfews, restricting gathering of people, congregation, and curtailing attendees in marriages and funerals.
Vietnam to resume international commercial flights from Jan next year
Hanoi: The Vietnamese government has approved the resumption of regular commercial flights between Vietnam and international destinations which are highly safe from COVID-19 since January 1, 2022.
According to the latest notice by the Vietnamese government office, the destinations included those in China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia and the United States, Vietnam News Agency reported on Saturday.
