The wearing of mask is mandatory yet again in Delhi. Not just that: the violator will have to cough up a fine of Rs 500. The decision was taken in the wake of the rise in daily Covid infections in the national capital.

Delhi is among the five states which have been advised by the Centre to take precautions in view of the higher caseload and the higher positivity rate.

The other states are Haryana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Mizoram. The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has, however, decided to keep the schools open; it is for the parents to decide whether they want to send their wards to schools or not.
