Congress Working Committee meet postponed amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan

New Delhi: Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the Congress on Wednesday postponed the meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) scheduled for Thursday in Ahmedabad.

The CWC, the party’s highest decision-making body, was to be attended by the Congress leadership including President Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and United Progressive Alliance Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

They were also set to address a public rally in Adalaj in Gujarat. A party leader said that a decision on the next date for the meeting will soon be taken.
