Chhattisgarh: COVID-19 infection spreads in Maoist cadre, claims life of DKSZC tech Commander

Overlooking the appeal of Bastar police to surrender and get better treatment against Covid 19 infection, it has started falling heavy on Maoist cadres.

Four days ago, a dreadful commander active in Bijapur died in Telangana Hospital due to Covid 19 infection, Bastar Police said on Thursday.

A dreadful naxal commander, head of techie team Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee Kurasam Gangaiah alias Aitu (28) years succumbed to Covid 19 infection in Tamilnadu Hospital, Sundarraj P, IGP Bastar Range said.

He identified the deceased as Gangaiah resident of Gornam village, Bijapur, Chhattisgarh was a commander of Dandakaranya South Bastar Tech Team.

Information of his death was revealed, when Telangana police intercepted a car carrying three Maoists Savalam Pojja, resident Pidiya Bijapur, Sodi Sitayya, Kunja Jogaiya of Andhra Pradesh with arms, ammunition and explosives on Thursday near Manuguru Hanuman Temple in Telangana, the IG said.

The contagious disease has started preying over the Maoists leaders and badly infected the cadres, he added.
