New Delhi : Delhi Police Friday filed a charge sheet in a court against BSP MP Dhananjay Singh for allegedly repeatedly raping a 42-year-old married railway employee for nearly four years.
The charge sheet was filed in a complaint by the woman accusing Singh, the Lok Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur constituency, of repeatedly raping her.
Singh was charged under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code. The charge sheet was filed before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sonu Agnihotri. Police said Singh had repeatedly raped the woman between July 2005 and March 2009. According to the complaint, she was allegedly raped several times by Singh at gunpoint.
