Central Government’s banking schemes get thumbs up

Indian government’s recently launched Pradhanmantri Jandhan Yojana, Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhanmantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana are getting implemented very effectively in Pune city. Anil Shirole, MP, Pune City today conducted a meeting with the Zonal managers of all the banks and top executives of insurance companies. He also guided the bank officials and appealed them to implement these schemes more effectively to benefit it for those having very less earnings and for those citizens who are part of unorganized working fields.

During the review Shirole, MP, said that, “I will try and see how all the social institutes, ganpati mandals and party workers can participate in this campaign and create the awareness about the schemes. In every quarter there will be review of the devlopments in these schemes and will try hard so that every individual of Pune city can be a part of these schemes.”

DLCC Convener (District Level Banking Committee) and Zonal Manager, Bank of Maharashtra R. Harikumar took the review from all the bank executives. No. of accounts opened so far in Pune under various schemes are:

Harikumar further said that, “To make these schemes more useful and beneficial to all the customers we have started separate counters in all the branches of all the banks which will help the customers. Also we all the banks and insurance companies are bound to open as many accounts as possible in Pune city which will be second largest in Maharashtra after Mumbai being highly populated than Pune.”
