In view of the ongoing pandemic and feedback received from various stakeholders, both CBSE and ICSE boards decided to cancel their Class 10 & 12 exams for the year 2021 and pass the students on basis of their internal assessments.
Even as the CBSE has announced that the evaluation criteria should be out in two weeks, officials from CISCE are yet to make a clarification for their board.
Class 10 Exams
CBSE
The board has released extra frequently asked questions (FAQs) on their official website-cbse.gov.in.
The additional FAQs released for CBSE Class 10 Result 2021 include categories such as languages, students in the particular range, the first batch of switch over category schools etc.
ICSE
CISCE has asked schools to submit the average marks awarded to the students in Class 9 and Class 10 internal examinations in each subject to prepare for the assessment criterion.
Class 12 Exams

In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi, recently said that a 12 member committee comprising of Vipin Kumar, Joint Secretary Education, Commissioners of Kendriya and Navodaya Vidyalayas, and representatives from the CBSE, and UGC among others has been constituted to decide on the criteria for the results.
He further said that the data collection process from the schools might take some time and the criteria for evaluation is likely to be announced in two weeks.
ICSE
ICSE earlier said that results for the class 12 board exams 2021 will be processed based on a mechanism that will include the internal examinations conducted by the schools.
Officials from both CBSE and ICSE boards have stated that candidates who are not satisfied with the marks allotted to them will be given a chance to appear for the exams once the situation becomes conducive.
