New Delhi : The Congress on Tuesday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi as it condemned the CBI raid at Delhi Secretariat but did not come out in support of Arvind Kejriwal either saying that the Delhi Chief Minister used to demand similar action against Central ministers at the drop of a hat.

Hitting out at the Prime Minister, party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said the action was another example of his “cooperative federalism”.

At the same time, he said, Congress was “no friend” of Kejriwal for whom “chickens have come home to roost”.   “What is sauce with goose is sauce for the gander… Chickens have come home to roost. At the drop of a hat, Kejriwal used to demand raids,” Singhvi said, recalling that that the AAP convener had sought similar action against senior Cabinet Ministers at the Centre, reports PTI. Taking a dig at Kejriwal, Singhvi said those who take selective approach towards constitutional principles become victims of their own selectiveness.

The office of Delhi Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary was today raided by CBI in connection with a corruption case, triggering a fresh face-off between the AAP and Centre and a vicious political slugfest in which the AAP chief spewed venom against Modi.
