CBI Academy Holds Valediction Ceremony For 50 Newly Inducted Law Officers In Ghaziabad

Speaking on the occasion Shri Praveen Sood, DCBI congratulated the Law Officers for successfully completing the training and asked them to put in practice the knowledge and expertise learnt during the training.

A Valediction Ceremony was held at CBI Academy, Ghaziabad in which 50 newly recruited Law Officers of CBI were formally solemnised into Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the premier investigation agency of India, after completion of their induction training programme. Shri Praveen Sood, Director CBI (DCBI) was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Shri Praveen Sood, DCBI congratulated the Law Officers for successfully completing the training and asked them to put in practice the knowledge and expertise learnt during the training.

Stating that year 2024 witnessed high disposal of about 1400 cases under investigation (UI) and under further investigation (UFI) against around 900 registered in the year, Shri Sood said that the focus in 2025 would be on accelerating trial disposal of cases.

He stressed that the role of Law Officers in this regard would be crucial and called upon the officers to endeavour towards making their best contribution. Referring to the imperative of working hard, Shri Sood advised the officers to work happily in the pursuit of organisational goal in line with CBI’s motto of Industry, Impartiality and Integrity.

During the ceremony, Shri Praveen Sood presented trophies, medals, and certificates to the winners of various categories. The awardees included: Cornelia Sorabji Trophy (For Indoor Studies) to Sh. Anubhav Shukla; Orator’s Gavel Trophy (For Best Individual Presentation) to Sh. Sanjay Rana; Ethics Star Trophy (For Best Dedication, Discipline & Exemplary Conduct) to Sh. Mahender Kumar and M. K. Nambiar Trophy (For Best Mock Court Performance) to Verdict Vision Group.

The ceremony marked the successful conclusion of an enriching training program, preparing the officers to contribute effectively to the CBI's important role in India's justice system.

The induction program marks a significant step in preparing the new recruits for their critical roles within the CBI. It reflects the Academy’s commitment to building a robust cadre of law officers dedicated to strengthening India’s criminal justice system. The program also aims to equip these officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to support the agency's mission of ensuring prompt and effective delivery of justice.

The group comprises officers with diverse academic backgrounds: 8 hold B.A./LL.B degrees, 11 have B.Com/LL.B, 3 possess B.Sc/LL.B, 1 has an M.Sc/LL.B, 24 are LLM graduates, and 3 are BBA/LL.B graduates.

Senior officers of CBI including Additional Directors Shri Manoj Sashidhar, Ms. Sampat Meena and Shri N Venugopal; Dr. Padmini Singh, Director of Prosecution and other senior officers of CBI also attended the event.
