New Delhi: A calendar for “Peace and Love” with paintings from Indian and Pakistani youths depicting their shared dreams of peace and friendship was launched here Sunday.

The calendar was jointly launched by Aaghaz-e-Dosti and Servants of People Society, the NGOs working for peace between the two neighbouring countries.

“This is a good initiative that will help to build fruitful relationship between both countries. Also through this we could sneak back to our past which has been bound with same history,” Salma Sayed, first secretary of Pakistan High Commission, said at the launch.

She said the Pakistan High Commission will arrange exchange programmes between India and Pakistan to endorse friendship between the two nations.

Deepak Malviya, secretary of the Servants of People Society, said: “This is a good step taken to build good relationship between both countries. My organisation has always been in support of such initiative and will maintain it in the future.”
