New Delhi: The ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is to share with the world its trade secret of an incredible success in the general elections completed last month. That trade secret lies in the training of its cadres. It will be 300-page coffee table book titled "Training for a New India" expected to be released by Prime Minister Modi sometime late July or in August.
As the BJP leaders reveal, training has always been the key part of BJP President Amit Shah’s formula for the electoral success, the other two being membership and live contacts. Only after Shah’s express permission, the book’s compilation was undertaken by the party’s training cell, the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Maha-abhiyan.
A party source involved in preparing the book said it is in the final stage of publication and it will be shared with the parties not only in India but across the world. "For parties across the world, it will be an education in democracy," he said.
The book outlines training programmes undertaken in the past three/four years by senior BJP leaders in various states covering as many as 17 lakh workers. It culminates with a photograph of the swearing-in of the Narendra Modi government 2.0. The brain behind designing the training programme is Dr Vinay P Sahasrabuddhe (61), a Rajya Sabha member, a national BJP vice-president, an author of many books and head of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini since July 2016.
