New Delhi : The Bharatiya Janata Party that kicked up a 3-day debate on “deshbhakta vs deshdrohi” (patriots versus traitors) across the country from Thursday, also decided to carry this campaign in Parliament that begins next Tuesday.

A meeting of the senior party leaders chaired by Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah Wednesday night decided to seek a debate on “nationalists versus anti-nationals” on both the Houses to expose the Congress, and particularly Rahul Gandhi, openly advocating cause of the anti-nationalists in the JNU developments.

Shah issued a directive that the BJP MPs must give notices for the debate as the party should not appear shying away from the issue as an offensive course is better than being defensive. In fact, he said it an opportunity to re-assert the resolve of the government and the BJP not to compromise on any issue concerning unity of the country as the party has always stood by nationalism.

Other party leaders also agreed that this opportunity should be seized as an answer to the Congress always taking credit for the freedom struggle and ask it where it stands in the matter of nationalism.
