New Delhi : Mocking Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Aspen, Colorado, to attend a conference, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sambit Patra on Wednesday said Rahul and responsibility never go together. “The two R’s — Rahul and Responsibility — never go together, and, we are learning that, today, yet again, Mr. Rahul Gandhi has gone for a vacation,” said Patra.
“The Congress Party initially comes out and says that Mr. Rahul Gandhi is on a personal visit to a foreign land, and thereafter, the statement is amended to say that Mr. Rahul Gandhi is not on a personal visit, but is going to Aspen to attend a conference,” he added.
Patra further ridiculed the Congress and questioned it. On a lighter note, I and the country would really like to know that an expert without any knowledge is attending which foreign conference? He hardly was seen at any Indian conferences or seminars.” According to ANI, Rahul Gandhi will be in United States at the same time as Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Meanwhile, Congress on Wednesday rejected all rumours being floated around on party vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Colorado.
“Rahul ji is attending a conference in Colorado. He is travelling to Aspen, US, on a short visit to attend the conference. It is being attended by many top world leaders from both private and government sectors,” Congress spokesman Randeep Surjewala told ANI.
