Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted light rainfall on January 19, 2025. This rain is expected due to moisture from the Bay of Bengal, and additional rainfall is anticipated shortly thereafter. This weather pattern has also impacted the South Interior Karnataka and Malnad regions.

Due to expected rainfall, the temperature is likely to drop, and the sky will be cloudy. Rain is forecasted for several regions in Karnataka, which should create a pleasant atmosphere. Today, rainfall is anticipated in areas such as the Cantonment, Ulsoor, and Vasanth Nagar in Central Bengaluru. Additionally, light rain has already been reported in neighborhoods like Bellandur, Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Kalyan Nagar, and Jalahalli in North Bengaluru.

The Karnataka Natural Disaster Management Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X with a caption that reads, " Scattered moderate rain in the southern interior, coastal and hilly districts of the state. Dry air is likely to prevail over north interior districts. There will be moderate to heavy fog over the state and scattered showers."

Weather update for Monday

Meteorologists predict that the sky will be cloudy on Monday, January 20, 2025 and there will be drizzle at times. This is happening mainly due to the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal. According to the weather department, light rainfall is expected in the areas, which include Rajajinagar, Malleshwaram, Sadashivnagar, Basaveshwaranagar, Kamakshipalya, and Peenya in West Bengaluru.

In South Bengaluru, JP Nagar, Kumaraswamy Layout, Anjanapura, Nayandahalli and Rajarajeshwari Nagar will experience similar weather conditions. Due to the possibility of more rain on Monday, residents are advised to carry umbrellas while going out. Additionally, caution is advised on slippery roads due to wet conditions. The refreshing moisture brought by the drizzle has made the view of the city cooler than usual.
