Baby born in front of ‘closed’ health centre         

Mehsana (Guj): In absence of proper medical treatment, a woman here on Sunday delivered her child in front of a closed Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Mehsana district. “An eight-month pregnant woman delivered a baby in open, under a tree in front of Modhera village in Mehsana district’s Primary Health Centre (PHC) as the PHC was closed on Sunday. But soon after the delivery, the baby died,” Rajesh Patel, a staffer of ambulance emergency 108 service, told. The woman has been identified as Geeta Narsingh Solanki (32) and belonged from Matrasan village in Bahucharaji tehsil of Mehsana district, Patel said.
