The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is likely to declare Class 12 or Indian School Certificate exam (ISC) results by July 20, sources told NDTV .
The assessment will be done after considering the students' Class 11 and 12 internal marks along with the best marks from 2015 to 2020, the sources further said.
Following CBSE's decision, the CISCE board had also earlier decided to cancel the exams on June 1.
Meanwhile, CBSE is expected to submit the formula for awarding marks to the students of class 12 to the Supreme Court today.
A 12 member committee was formed to prepare the assessment criteria. A notification issued by CBSE's controller of examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj on June 4, stated that the committee will decide the basis for promoting the students and submit its report within 10 days. However, it failed to do so, which is why the criterion has not yet been released.
The CBSE exams were earlier scheduled to be conducted in May-June whereas the ISC papers were slated for April. However, both were postponed and later cancelled due to the second wave of the pandemic.
CBSE and ICSE students, who desire to take the exams will be given a chance to do so when the situation becomes conducive according to officials from the respective boards
