The Class 10 (HSLC) and Class 12 (HS) results for students in Assam will be declared by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) and the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) by July 31, according to reports from NDTV.
Class 10 results will be declared on websites – results.sebaonline.org, resultsassam.nic.in and assamresult.in while Class 12 results will be announced on ahsec.nic.in and esultsassam.nic.in.
For Class 10 students, results will be declared based on 40 per cent from Class 9 exams, 40 per cent marks from Class 10 exams and 20 per cent based on internal assessment of students and other factors.
For Class 12 subjects with practicals, 50 per cent marks will be awarded from the average of the best three subjects of class 10 or HSLC exam, 30% from practicals and 10 per cent marks by schools. The remaining 10 per cent marks will be allotted based on the 90 per cent.
However, without practicals, AHSEC said that 50 per cent marks will be based on the average of the best three subjects of class 10 exams and 40 per cent from internal assessments and other activities during Class 11 and 12. The remaining 10 per cent will be allotted based on the 90 per cent.
Students who are not satisfied with the marks allotted will be given the opportunity to appear for the exams whenever they are held.
Two committees were earlier set up on Friday, June 25 by the Assam government to propose procedures to evaluate students of Class 10 and 12 in view of the cancellation of this year's state board examinations due to COVID-19.
The SEBA conducts the Class 10 examinations, and the AHSEC holds the Class 12 tests.
