According to Surat Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana, Narayan, during his interrogation, has confessed to his relationship with the devotees.
Narayan’s estranged wife Janaki was the first to bring into public domain the fact that he has a child from Jamuna and now Narayan too has confessed to the same.
Surat Police had interrogated Narayan in the presence of his wife as a part of their investigation. Narayan, who had led the police on a wild goose chase, was picked up from Haryana on December 4 after 58 days on the run. Thereafter he was brought to Surat where he was wanted in connection with an alleged rape.
Two Surat-based sisters, who were disciples of the father-son duo, respectively, had leveled charges of rape against them, following which the police had started looking for him. Asaram is already behind bars following similar complaints from a minor in Jodhpur.
It was the younger of the two sisters’ whose complaint led to the ultimate arrest of Narayan.
