Itanagar: Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal Pradesh Ninong Ering today urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to raise the issues of “border dispute and staple visa” during his visit to China. “It would be unfortunate if the Indo-China border issue was kept out of the Prime Minister’s agenda of discussion,” said Ering, the Congress MP from Arunachal East constituency.

The Prime Minister should also raise the staple visa issue, he said in a statement here. Earlier in a letter to the Prime Minister yesterday, he had said “India’s soft stance on the border disputes has let down the sentiment of the people of the state.” Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India and there is no question of any kind of controversy with regard to its territory. We Arunachalees greet each other saying ‘Jai Hind’, speak Hindi and shall die for India,” he said.
