Jaipur: Lt General Ashok Singh, G-O-C (Army Commander) today visited Udaipur military station and reviewed the operational and military preparedness of the formation and units.

He also reviewed the administrative efficiency of Udaipur Military Station, a release from Defense PRO said here.

He took stock of all the training and welfare related issues that affect troops posted at the military station.

Under the aegis of Headquarters, Southern Command, a number of initiatives have been launched to improve quality of life of soldiers and their families residing in the military station, the release said.

The Army Commander also inaugurated a newly constructed open air theatre at the station and dedicated it to all serving and retired armed forces personnel and their families.

During the visit he also reviewed preparation of station units in discharging duties as part of aid to civil authorities in natural disasters, terrorist strikes, etc.

He expressed satisfaction the Army and the state authorities were sharing an excellent rapport and continuous liaison was being carried out to thwart any untoward incident, it said.
