On Monday, while Citizenship (Amendment) Bill was tabled in Lok Sabha, Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam had a hilarious take on the entire situation.

The Congress leader took Twitter to explain what does Citizenship (Amendment) Bill means, but rather explaining it in a serious way he explained the situation in a hilarious way. Nirupam tweeted in Hindi saying, "Akshay Kumar rahiye, Katrina Kaif jayiye. (Akshay Kumar allowed and Katrina Kaif not allowed.)"

The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019, which seeks to give Indian nationality to non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan facing religious persecution there, was introduced in Lok Sabha by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday.

While 293 votes were in favour of the tabling of Citizenship Amendment Bill in Lok Sabha, only 82 votes were against introduction of Bill in the house.
