Gandhinagar: Maya Kodnani, former Gujarat Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare and prime accused in Naroda Patiya massacre case, Maya Kodnani was granted three months’ bail on medical grounds by the Gujarat High Court on Tuesday. Kodnani had sought bail on health grounds. She had sought six months’ bail on the ground that she was suffering from tuberculosis of the intestines, heart ailments and depression.
A division bench of the Gujarat High Court comprising of Justice KS Javeri and K J Thaker granted her bail for three months. The Court has directed Kodnani to make available her travel details for treatment outside Gujarat to the Special Investigation Team probing the 2002 riot cases in the state.
