2 held in UP for black marketing

Muzaffarnagar: Two persons were booked for their alleged involvement in black marketing of rice meant for sale in a fair price shop in Budhana town here, police said today. The accused identified as Krishanpal and Praveen Giri were arrested and 548 quintals of rice was seized when police intercepted a truck yesterday, Sub-Divisional Magistrate J P Gupta said. The duo were transporting the rice for black marketing, he said, adding, they have been booked under Essential Commodities Act.
