Indore : Rashtriya Guni Mission, Udaipur and Paramparik Vaidya Vikas are organising a free health camp during their 5th annual conference at Gayatri Shakti, Kesarbagh Road till January 20. About 300 patients have been treated using herbs and roots in the camp.
Senior doctor Jiyalal, who is heading the treatments said, “Most of the patients are suffering from chronic diseases.” He said diseases like slip disc, arthritis and rheumatism can’t be treated without a surgery. However, doctors often prescribe painkillers to assist the patient.
The painkillers can damage other body parts in long term. “You can eradicate the pain using natural herbs and roots. It would also strengthen your body instead of weakening functions,” Jiyalal added.
Some solutions for various diseases offered by the team of doctors at the camp are as follows:
Diabetes:
Diabetes can be treated using Neem seeds in form of powder, tablet or syrup. Neem seeds have other benefits like improved blood circulation. Other herbs and roots that are used in treatment of diabetes are fenugreek, gooseberry (amla) and gudmau.
Arthritis and Rheumatism:
The pain of arthritis can be treated by adding herbs like alsi and til to the patient’s everyday diet, according to Jiyalal. He further advocated use of neem as a supplement.
Asthma
“Asthma is a genetic disease, where everyday spices can provide relief and avoid instances of sudden attacks,” Jiyalal said. He prescribes the use of ginger powder, black pepper (raw), choti peepal and arusa powder.
Slip Disc
‘Slip disc’ is caused when blood stops flowing into certain areas, so we are teaching special yogic exercises, which help blood flow in the area,” Jiyalal said. Along with the exercise, oil derived from various herbs and roots can help ease the pain.
