Bosses watching porn at work infect networks with spams

Washington : Corporate networks are infected with malware if executives visit infected porn websites, a new survey has revealed, reports ANI.

The survey conducted by software firm ThreatTrack Security, 40 percent of tech support employees have admitted to cleaning an executive’s corporate device after the boss visited an infected porn website.
According to CNN, the study revealed other reasons for the spam-attack on corporate networks with about 56 percent getting malware from clicking on a bad link or getting duped by a fake ‘phishing’ email.
47 percent of the executives attached an infected device like a USB or smartphone to the corporate system and 45 percent got virus when they let a family member use their company computer. The survey revealed that about 33 percent of executives installed a malicious app on their company device leading to functional failure.
The report said that 36 percent of companies have adopted the ‘bring your own device’ approach, allowing workers to connect to company networks with their personal devices. It was further revealed that 57 percent of IT analysts say they have confronted a data breach that the company decided to keep secret from customers, partners or shareholders, so as not to lose their trust.
However, getting rid of watching porn at work or connecting personal devices to the corporate networks, part of the problem can be solved.
