Panchkula (Haryana): Days after he was dropped from AAP’s Political Affairs Committee, Yogendra Yadav today said he wants an end to the infighting in the party even as he asked workers not to lose faith in the party and its idea and focus on eradicating corruption.  A lot of things have happened in the last few days…I have requested all party workers that whatever happens, do not lose faith and hope in the party and its idea,” he told reporters here.

“Everybody is working for the party…infighting and similar other words were used in the last 5-7 days. Party workers have come with a lot of hope and expectations, they do not want it should go on further and I also do not want it to go on further,” he said. “I have also told party men no more questions and answers now. It is enough. Now work is to be done. We have not come here to fight with each other, we are here to remove corruption,” he said.

Yadav was here in connection with the party’s ‘Jai Kisan Abhiyan’ which was launched last month against BJP government in the state and the Centre to oppose “anti-farmers” policiesof the party. Refusing to comment on the party’s internal matters,

Yadav said, “I know a lot of things have come in the media during past few days. It was Holi season. Colours were thrown and mud was also thrown. Now Holi festival is over and now work is to be started.” Asked over AAP leader Mayank Gandhi’s threat to quit, he said, “I do not want to take this matter further”. Gandhi had yesterday threatened to quit, accusing a “small group of party decision-makers” in Delhi of targeting him for decrying removal of Prashant Bhushan and Yadav from the party’s Political Affairs Committee.

Senior AAP leaders Bhushan and Yadav, who were on a collision course with party convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, were dropped from the Political Affairs Committee of the party on March 4. Their ouster came after the duo had raised red flag against continuation of Kejriwal as National Convener as also questioned his working style.
