New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shazia Ilmi on Wednesday said that it was wrong to appoint own party members’ associates on different positions, over AAP’s decision to appoint Swati Maliwal as the next Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief. “It is wrong that AAP is appointing its own party members’ associates on different positions of such organization. There is completely misgovernance in Delhi,” said Ilmi. Maliwal, who is currently Advisor (Grievances) to Kejriwal, would be replacing Barkha Shukla. Maliwal, 30, is an RTI activist and the youngest member of India Against Corruption. She is married to senior AAP functionary Naveen Jaihind. The tenure of incumbent Barkha Shukla ends this week.
