Villagers block highway to protest rape of minors

Muzaffarnagar: Villagers blocked the Delhi-Pauri Highway to protest the rape of two minor cousins by a man in Miranpur town of the district. Demanding strict action against the accused, the locals blocked the road last evening, police said today. Two cousin sisters – a two-year-old and a three-year-old were yesterday raped allegedly by Bhawer Singh under the influence of alcohol at Miranpur town.

When the minors returned home, they narrated their ordeal to the family members following which a complaint was filed with the police, they said. The accused has been arrested. The victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital, they said.
