New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and spokesperson Siddharth Nath Singh today said that taking up the issue of snooping by the United States at the fifth Indo- US Strategic Dialogue by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, reflects that the NDA government is strong unlike the previous UPA government.
“Sushma Swaraj has conveyed our stand to the US by taking up the issue of snooping. It is a very bold step and it shows that the NDA Government is strong unlike the former UPA Government,” said Singh.
Yesterday, U.S Secretary of State John Kerry and Swaraj co-chaired the fifth Indo- US Strategic Dialogue in which the latter took up the issue of US authorities spying on BJP by the National Security Agency (NSA), when the former was not in power.
Criticizing the move, Swaraj told Kerry that this action was totally unacceptable to India.
The two sides also discussed transformative initiatives in key areas of security and energy.
Kerry is on a three day visit to India as part of the first high-level interaction at the political level after the NDA Government came to power.
