Swimmers poor show continues, Nair 6th in 50m backstroke

Incheon: Indian swimmers continued to struggle in the 17th Asian Games here with Prathapan Nair failing to qualify for the men’s 50m backstroke finals today.

Nair clocked 26.85 in the heats to finish a lowly sixth in the seven-strong field.

It was a second successive day of disappointment for Nair as he had finished seventh in the 100m backstroke heats yesterday.
