London : At least 60 people have been killed in north east Nigeria after a raid on a village by suspected Boko Haram militants, according to reports. The attack took place last Thursday in Kukuwa in Yobe state, but details emerged later from survivors, the BBC reports. Some of the villagers who died are said to have drowned while fleeing gunmen. Dozens of militants arrived in the village on motorcycles and began shooting the residents, according to reports of eyewitnesses. Boko Haram killed 10 people last month after some of its own fighters had been killed by a vigilante force in the village.
