New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday dubbed the Congress’ march to the Rashtrapati Bhawan as a ‘march of frustration’ and said that the grand old party was now feeling suffocated as they are not getting any opportunity to be corrupt.

“This march of today of the Congress Party can be called as a ‘march of frustration’. Whenever the Congress is out of power, they are frustrated because of the very fact that they don’t get the opportunity to be corrupt, they feel suffocated,” BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra told ANI. “They feel this is the suffocation of the people. This is suffocation of the Congress because Congress is unable to carry out its corrupt activity and this is the reason as to why this is a ‘march of frustration’,” he added. Another BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said this march of Congress is an expression of their intolerance towards the mandate given by the voters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.

“Basically, they are showing intolerance towards growth and development of India,” Singh told ANI. “Certainly, Congress needs to introspect. You (Congress) have presided over the biggest massacre of humanity under your own leadership in 1984. So, Congress needs to introspect what and which intolerance they are talking about,” he added. Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi will lead a party delegation to the Rashtrapati Bhawan today to appeal to President Pranab Mukherjee to use his constitutional powers to end the atmosphere of intolerance in the country.
