Spotlight is back on Vadra

The BJP government feels that there is a prima facie case against Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra, which the new government in Haryana should take to its logical conclusion.

In an interview to a TV channel, Finance Minister Arun Jaitlety said in response to a question that certain sweetheart land deals involving Vadra that were not transparent and out of the ordinary need to be investigated. “Prima facie there is a case for investigation. Because it does not happen that you start with almost negligible capital, a few lakhs of rupees, and that turns into crores and crores of rupees within a matter of year or two. Now that does not happen in normal transaction,” Jaitley said.

Answering questions on the National Herald case, the Finance Minister again felt the Congress party has a lot of answering to do. The Congress party immediately greeted Jaitley’s remarks with shouts of vindictiveness and alleged witch-hunt.
