New Delhi : Posters demanding ‘Ghar wapsi’ of former BJP stalwart Sanjay Joshi greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his return from Canada on Saturday.
The controversial posters were put up outside strategic places like BJP headquarters in Ashok Road, Amit Shah’s residence and LK Advani’s Prithviraj Road residence. The tongue-in-cheek posters questioned why the PM was not ready to share his thoughts with Joshi even as he addressed the whole country through his ‘Mann ki Baat’ telecasts?
One poster mocked at BJP’s slogan of ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’ questioning why Joshi had been kept out of the scheme of things. Party workers were instructed to pull down the posters soon after they were seen on Saturday morning.
This is not the first time that posters pledging open support to Sanjay Joshi and questioning his banishment from the party have been put up in the capital. The party top brass has found it embarrassing to witness these posters and hoardings every few months.
Joshi was in news earlier this week also when a couple of MPs were pulled up by the BJP top brass for wishing Joshi on his birthday. A minister’s PA even lost his job for the same reason.
