Ujjain : Third and last royal bath of Simhastha Mahakumbh which marked the conclusion of month long mega congregation was solemnised at the Ghats of river Kshipra with great religious fervour and enthusiasm here on Saturday. Hundreds of thousands of Saints and sages gathered at the banks of Kshipra to take holy dip of faith in the wee hours of grand bathing day. On this occasion, millions of devotees swarmed the ghats and took holy dip.
Before the commencement of last royal bath saint fraternity took out ceremonial procession.
Saints and sages across various sects riding on well-adorned chariots, horses and elephants made their way towards the banks of Kshipra through various streets of the city.
At the Ghats saints and their disciples put their weaponry skills on display before quenching their thrust of much coveted elixir.
Amidst this vibrant and colourful spectacle, devotees and pilgrims were seen lining up on the either side of the streets in order to catch glimpses of saints and sages.
Throughout the procession devotees and pilgrims continued to shower respect to saint fraternity by paying obeisance. Acknowledging their respect, saints too showered blessings upon them.
Devotees and pilgrims were overwhelmed to see such spectacular sight filled with stupendous spiritual vigour. Later on, they too took holy bath and thanked heaven for such blissful experience.
The last royal bath has virtually increase the religious and spiritual quotient manifold in the holy city and it has embedded the unforgettable memories in the mind of devotees came to witness the Simhastha Mahaparva.
