New Delhi: The Railway will launch ‘Rail Humsafar Saptaah’ from May 26 to June 1 – a weeklong celebration to highlight achievements of the Indian Railway during the last two years of the NDA regime.
Each day of the week will focus on a particular theme and will be observed as Swachchta Diwas, Satkar Diwas, Sewa Diwas, Satarkata Diwas, Saamanjasya Diwas, Sanyojan Diwas and Sanchaar Diwas.
Minister of Railways Suresh Prabhu has directed that all the General Managers should personally supervise various activities to be undertaken during the week.
During the last two years, a number of initiatives have been launched and significant achievements made by the Indian Railways in all spheres, especially in its responsiveness, accessibility and improvement of passenger amenities.
