Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to China on June 25 when he plans to sign a series of bilateral agreements, the Kremlin said in a statement on Monday. Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping will study “concrete steps” to develop cooperation between the two countries on trade, economy, technology, science, humanitarian aid and investment, EFE news reported citing the statement as saying.

The two leaders will also discuss international key issues, as well as the interaction of their countries within multilateral and regional organizations such as the UN, the G20 and BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) groupings. Putin will travel to China from Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, where he is attending an annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on June 23-24.

The SCO consists of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
