Mumbai : Not content with scrapping of Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali’s concert in Mumbai, yet another concert of the artist scheduled at Pune has also been cancelled.

The Shiv Sena had yet again threatened to disband the event. The events were planned as part of a tribute to Indian ghazal singer Jagjit Singh on his fourth death anniversary. Reacting to criticism in the media, on Thursday, Yuva Sena president leader Aditya Thackeray said:”We are admirers of Pakistani ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali. But we cannot allow his concert in view of the killings perpetrated by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists.” The governments of West Bengal and Delhi have, meanwhile, offered to host the event, pointing out that music and culture have “no boundaries.” Cabinet Minister Nitin Gadkari also clearly said that the cancellation of the show in Mumbai should  not have happened though he avoided blaming the state govt.
